The Chicago Colts defeated the league door-mat Detroit Iron Gloves by a score
of 6 to 3 at the ballpark.
 
Chicago erupted with the game winning runs in the 8th inning with 3 runs on 2
hits.  Prince Fielder began the Chicago spurt when he hit a bases-empty home
run (his 28th of the season).  After an out was recorded, Brian McCann came
up and he was hit by a pitch.  One out later, Chris Coste stepped in and he
cleared the fences for a two-run home run (his 12th of the season).  The
Detroit bats were silent in the 9th.  
 
Huston Street(7-5) went 2 innings allowing no runs for the win. Jered
Weaver*(9-8) was the losing pitcher.  He allowed 3 homeruns in 7 and 2/3
